Johnny Damon, the self-proclaimed “Idiot” during his days in Boston, is historically one of the best pure leadoff hitters in the history of baseball. One of a handful of players to own a World Series ring from his time in both Boston and New York, Damon played a key role in both the 2004 and 2009 World Series championships for the Red Sox and Yankees respectively. A 2-Time All-Star, Damon has one of the most genuine personalities in the game, helping to lighten the mood in any clubhouse he’s ever been a part of. In 2010, Damon began a new chapter in his career, joining the Detroit Tigers.
