When the Yankees needed to find a new manager following the 2007 season, they turned to their former catcher, Joe Girardi. A member of three World Series Championships as a player in New York, Girardi wasted little time adding a managerial championship to his resume. In 2009, just his second season on the job, Girardi led the Yankees to their 27th World Series Title. He had been sporting the #27 on his back since arriving in the Bronx, and made the switch to #28 in 2010 – signifying his new goal. Joe Girardi has hand signed this 8x10 photograph in blue ink. The image depicts the Yankees Manager holding the 2009 World Series Trophy, on the field, during the post-game celebration. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
